Many a times we need to display DFF's in our OTBI analysis.

Follow the below steps and screenshots to achieve the same:

Go to Navigator > Setup and Maintenance
Step 2: Search for Manage Descriptive Flexfields and open.

Step 5: All the DFF’s for Payables Invoices will be present here. Click on Manage Segment Labels on the top right of the Screen.
Step 6: The segment Label names and the Object Names will be defined here. Make sure that the label names and the object names are valid.
Click Save and Close.
Step 7: Select any DFF and click “Edit” icon.
Step 8: We will be navigated to the screen where we specify the segment label and other details for DFF and enable the BI Flag.
Click Save and Close.
Repeat Step 7 for each for the DFF’s by selecting them. Click “Save and Close”.
Step 9: Check the BI Enabled Flag.
Click “Save and Close”.
Step 10: Select the Particular name of the module for which the DFF’s were defined and Click “Deploy Flexfield”.
A Confirmation message will be displayed
for Deployment status.

Now we need to run a scheduled job to complete the process.
Step 11: Go to to Navigator > More > Scheduled Processes or Navigator > Scheduled Processes
Step 12: Click “Schedule New Process”

Rules XML File for BI Extender Automation” and Click ‘OK’.
In the Process Details Section Select the
appropriate Essbase Application and Click “Submit”.

Intelligence” should result in a Warning.
Step 15 : Once the process “Import Oracle Fusion Data Extensions for Transactional Business Intelligence” results in a warning go to the respective subject area to find the DFF’s which were defined. The same can be used for OTBI Reporting.
